Where do stick bugs live?
By Forinfos - 01/12/2025 - 0 comments
Stick insects primarily live in forests and grasslands of tropical or subtropical regions. Some species live in more temperate climates. Stick insects feed on leaves and are notable for their camouflage that resembles sticks and other types of vegetation.
Members of the genus Phobaeticus are the longest insects in the world, able to reach a length of over 22 inches when including the legs. Although many species resemble sticks, some have flattened abdomens that mimic leaves. Some species are able to change color to avoid detection. Stick insects are usually nocturnal and have impressive vision that is effective in low-light conditions.
