What does a belladonna lily look like?

Belladonna lilies, also known as naked ladies and belladonna Amaryllis, grow up to 3 feet tall and have leafless stems. These star-shaped trumpet flowers display six petals.
With optimal soil conditions and sun, the belladonna lily will produce multiple pink or white flowers on each stem. Bulbs can be planted in containers or in the garden in well-drained soil and full sun.
Leafy foliage will emerge in spring and die back in summer. After the foliage dies, flowers will emerge. Once the flowers die, more foliage will grow so that the leaves can gather sun to nourish the bulb for the next growing season.
