How big do boxer dogs get?

Boxer dogs will grow to a height of 21.5 to 25 inches at the top of their shoulders and weigh between 60 and 70 pounds when fully grown. The boxer is a member of the "Working Dogs" breed group within the American Kennel Club.

The Boxer dog was first bred in Germany for dog fighting and for hunting big game. It was not until the 1930s that the Boxer became a popular family pet. The dog is athletic, intelligent and loyal. They come in brindle and fawn colorings. The dogs can make excellent family pets as long as they are trained early on to avoid jumping and rough play with little family members.
