How big is a human eye?
By Forinfos - 02/09/2025 - 0 comments
The average size of a human eye is 1 inch, roughly 2/3 the size of a ping pong ball, and weighs approximately 1/4 of an ounce. Size in adults varies little and is relatively uniform with an allowance for 2 to 3 millimeters.
In infancy, the human eye is approximately 18 millimeters and grows gradually until adulthood. The bony socket around the eye continues to grow as well. The human eye contains approximately 130 million pixels in that space though only 6 million see in color while the rest see only in black and white. It sees 270 degrees in all if not accounting for head movement and only including peripheral vision.
