Veteran Country music singer, songwriter, host and broadcaster Bill Anderson is not currently married as of 2015. He has been married twice before. Each marriage ended in divorce.
Anderson's first wife was named Betty. The divorce inspired him to write the song "A Death in the Family," which was later recorded by country artist Little Jimmy Dickens and released as the B-side of Dicken's single "Times Are Gonna Get Better," which did not sell well. Anderson's second wife was named Becky. He has been inducted into both the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Country Music Hall of Fame.
