By Forinfos - 12/01/2026 - 0 comments

Some of the places a biochemist might work include hospitals, cancer research centers, other medical research laboratories, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), public health offices and public laboratories. Biochemists should have a passion for chemistry and should consider beginning their education with advanced biology, chemistry and calculus courses in high school.

Biochemists study the effects of chemical processes and may even study DNA, proteins and cell parts. They are also skilled in researching how chemical reactions happen and focus their time on planning and conducting research that leads to the development of new products or upgrading existing products and analyzing both.
