Biochemistry can be a difficult college-level course for students who do not have an aptitude for chemistry. Students taking a course in biochemistry study the chemical processes that make life possible for organisms.
Biochemistry is known as the chemistry of the living world. Every living organism on Earth uses the same basic chemical compounds to survive. Biochemistry studies these chemical compounds and examines how different organisms use them. The subject also covers many biochemical cycles, such photosynthesis, the Calvin cycle, the citric acid cycle and glycolysis. It is a diverse and vast subject that can be difficult for many students.
