What does a bishop wear?

A bishop wears a robe called a cassock, which is a servant's robe. The cassock is modeled after the robe worn by Jesus.
A symbolic belt is wrapped around the waist of a bishop's cassock, commemorating the towel Jesus used to wash the disciples. In some denominations, bishops and priests also wear robes called Chimere and Rochet.
A bishop's adornments, or jewelry, include a large cross on a chain and a ring. The Bishop might also hold a metal staff called a crozier, which represents the staff held by Moses when exiled from Egypt. Ceremonial headgear includes hats called copes, miters, zucchettos and birettas.
