NBC announced on February 5th, 2015 that "The Blacklist" has been renewed for a third season. The ratings for the show have been steady, ensuring a return on NBC's 2015-2016 lineup.

The 11 aired episodes of season two have averaged a 3.3 rating in the 18-to-49 demographic, catching an impressive 11.83 million viewers. The show's ratings are up by 15 percent for the demographics and 10 percent in total viewership, compared to the first season.

"The Blacklist" is part of the peacock station's Thursday night lineup as of February 2015, going up against ABC's strong drama, "Scandal." The show stars James Spader and Megan Boone.
