Who is Boondoggle Man?

Boondoggle Man is a nickname created by David Michael Weeks on his website of the same name, which is dedicated to making gimp crafts. Weeks is a computer teacher in Buffalo, N.Y., who works with gimp, or boondoggle, in camps and schools.

Boondoggle is the flexible PVC lace many children and adults use to weave and braid their own lanyards, key chains and craft jewelry. Weeks was introduced to boondoggle as a Cub Scout and went on to provide instructional sessions during his time as a Life Scout in Freedom, N.Y. Weeks' website offers ideas for making fun crafts and boondoggling tutorials for individuals who want to learn new stitches.
