What brand of guitar did Johnny Cash play?

Although musician Johnny Cash played a variety of different guitars, he was most commonly seen with a custom Martin D-35. The D-35, made especially for Cash, featured a polished black finish and was used by the artist on stage for almost 20 years.
Because of the popularity of Cash's supposed favorite guitar, Martin began producing replicas for the general public. These instruments feature a dreadnought body with solid spruce top and a three-piece back. The ebony fingerboard contains 14 frets on the modified oval neck. This is the third Cash signature model released by Martin, following the Cash D-35 Custom and the D-42JC.
