What do Brazilian people wear?

Brazilian people wear Western fashions, and the country is considered to be at the forefront of the world's fashion scene, as of 2014. Traditionally, Brazilian costumes include cotton clothing, baggy pants called bombachas, ponchos and wide straw hats. These styles can still be seen in the countryside.

Another traditional costume in Brazil includes coats, hats and leather chaps of the Brazilian cowboys or vaquiros. People from the Native American tribes of the area traditionally wore tunics, face paint and decorative beads or feathers. The fashion of Brazil has been influenced by the country's native population as well as by immigrants from Germany, Spain, Africa and many other parts of the world.
