What breed are miniature teddy bear puppies?

Miniature Teddy Bear puppies are most commonly a combination of Shih Tzu and Bichon Frise. These hybrids are also known as Shichon, Zuchon or Tzu Frise dogs. Occasionally, crosses between breeds including Toy Poodles, Cocker Spaniels, Yorkshire Terriers, Schnauzers and Daschunds are also called Teddy Bears.

The most desirable dogs are small in size with delicate features, large eyes, a fluffy coat and a strong resemblance to a stuffed teddy bear. Most animals reach a weight of between 11 and 16 pounds, although some can grow to be slightly larger. The Teddy Bear's coat can come in many different shades, including black, white, brown and cream.
