What breeds of dogs have wool instead of hair?

For dog breeds, a "wool coat" refers to the curly, springy type of fur found on poodles and other non-shedding or hypoallergenic breeds. Many of the most popular breeds with wool coats are either poodles or poodle hybrids, such as the labradoodle or the goldendoodle.
Many terriers have curly or kinky coats, including the Kerry Blue terrier, the Bedlington terrier and some dogs in the Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier breed. The Bolognese and Bichon Frise, two toy breeds similar in appearance to the poodle, also have this coat type. The Portuguese Water Dog and the Irish Water Spaniel are larger dogs with this coat type.
