Where was Bush Hill Hospital located during the yellow fever epidemic in 1793?

The Bush Hill Hospital that housed those suffering from yellow fever in 1793 was located just outside of Philadelphia, PA. Bush Hill was an estate that was built by Andrew Hamilton, an attorney who is often credited with the design of Independence Hall.

The hospital housed and isolated those who suffered from the fever mainly to prevent them from spreading the disease to the rest of the population. The current location of the hospital would be below Fairmount Avenue near 17th Street. Before the house was turned into a hospital, it was the home of Vice President John Adams and his wife.
