What are prefab dome homes?
By Forinfos - 18/03/2026 - 0 comments
Prefabricated geodesic dome homes are small, round, energy-efficient homes made from recycled materials. They can be assembled at a residential construction site with little to no waste and in half the time of other prefabricated homes, says Sustainable Domes.
A geodesic dome is a partial spherical structure consisting of triangular pieces that distribute weight evenly. This shape was first used to make prefabricated homes in 1986, according to Wikipedia. The strength of this shape makes the homes sturdy and capable of withstanding the elements. Due to their small size and good airflow, prefabricated dome homes require less energy for heating and cooling than traditional or modular homes.
