Does Best Buy take old TVs for disposal as e-waste?
By Forinfos - 18/04/2026 - 0 comments
Best Buy operates an e-waste recycling program at its U.S. stores and kiosks that accepts certain models of televisions free of charge, as of April 2015. Each state has its own laws and regulations regarding what types of televisions it permits Best Buy to accept.
While the specific details vary by location and state, most stores accept tube televisions with screen sizes of 32 inches or less, projectors, LCD televisions with screen sizes of less than 60 inches, and portable televisions for recycling. The program typically does not accept front- or rear-projection televisions, any device with exposed cathode ray tubes, or tube televisions with screen sizes larger than 32 inches.
