The California sales and use tax rate tables provide information on sales tax for individual cities, counties and addresses, according to the California State Board of Equalization. Updated versions of these tables are available for download on the Board of Equalization's website.

As of 2016, the tax rate for the entire state is 7.5 percent, with local areas including additional district taxes that range from 0.10 to 2 percent, notes the California State Board of Equalization. Tax rate files for cities and counties are available in Excel and Comma Delimited file formats.
