Camp Green Lake is a fictional juvenile delinquent center in the book "Holes" by Louis Sachar. In the book, it is located in Texas. The main character, Stanley Yelnats, is sent there after he gets into trouble with the law.
In the book, Camp Green Lake is described as neither having a lake nor being green. As described by the Louis Sachar website, the warden at Camp Green Lake makes the boys build character by having them go out into the hot sun and dig holes every day. The boys are subject to the sun as well as to rattlesnakes and fictional yellow spotted lizards that inhabit the desert.
