Where can you find the 2014 1040 tax booklet?

The 2014 instruction booklet for tax form 1040 is available electronically from the Internal Revenue Service website, as of 2015. Alternatively, taxpayers can request a copy by mail from the IRS or pick up a copy from their local post office or library.

To download a PDF file of the booklet, taxpayers click on Forms & Pubs on the IRS website, and choose the link for the 1040 instructions. Taxpayers can also call the IRS to have the booklet mailed to them or order copies from the website. On the left side of the Forms & Pubs page, taxpayers can click on Order Forms & Pubs, then select the link for Forms and Publications by U.S. Mail, and follow the instructions.
