Where can you adopt or buy a mini fox terrier?

The mini fox terrier dog breed is actually called the Toy Fox Terrier, and these dogs can be bought from breeders found through the American Kennel Club website or at the local animal shelter. These dogs are similar to the standard sized Fox Terrier, though they do not come in the wire coat.

The Toy Fox Terrier comes in the smooth coat and weighs a mere 3 to 7 lbs. The dogs are considered companion dogs and are intelligent, loyal and eager to please. However, these dogs are not good for families with young children because they cannot handle any kind of rough housing due to their small stature. They also can be quite stubborn and require proper training at an early age to make suitable pets.
