Where can you take a beginner computer course?

Beginner computer classes are often available at local libraries and community centers for members of the community to attend. A variety of classes are also available online and can be taken remotely.

Beginner computer classes generally cover the basics of setting up and using a computer, including connecting the parts of the machine, switching it on and using the keyboard and mouse. Later classes cover topics such as opening and closing files, installing and uninstalling programs and locating applications on the computer. Finally, classes generally cover the use of basic computer programs users are likely to encounter, including Internet browsers, word processors and email.
