Where can you find a brain map?

BrainMaps is an interactive, high resolution and zoomable brain map, or digital brain atlas, available online that is funded by the National Institutes of Health of the United States Department of Health and Human Services. The map, also referred to as a virtual microscope, is based on more than 20 million megapixels of sub-micron resolution scanned images of the brain.

BrainMap's images are annotated and represent both primate and non-primate brains. The high-speed database of the system allows users to easily query data as well as retrieve information about the brain's structure and various functions. Some of the digital brain atlases available on BrainMaps include nonhuman species, such as Mus musculus, Tyto alba, Macaca mulatta, Rattus norvegicus, Felis catus and Chlorocebus aethiops.
