Where can you find calcium score tables?

The University of Maryland Medical Center provides a calcium score table on its official website. Many health care groups and hospitals offer these tables online as well. Those with questions about calcium scores or any other medical issue should consult a health care provider.

Cardiac calcium scoring uses a special X-ray test to check for the buildup of calcium in plaque on the walls of the coronary arteries, explains WebMD. Because these arteries do not normally contain calcium, the presence of calcium can indicate heart disease and the risk of a heart attack. Doctors use calcium scores to categorize a patient's risk level, ranging from zero risk to low, mild, moderate, high or very high risk.
