Where can you check your Visa reward card balance?

The balance of a Visa reward or gift card can be checked on the website of whichever organization issued the card or by calling their respective customer service numbers. Certain merchants, such as Barnes & Noble and Kmart, also allow holders to check their balance at a point of sale.

Other merchants are also able to apply any remaining Visa reward card balance towards a purchase, even if it does not cover the full amount. Customers then have the option of making up the remaining balance on the purchase through a second payment. Some of the merchants that cover this service, as of 2015, include Chevron, CVS and Gamestop.
