The Weight-control Information Network allows users to compare body-mass index charts among races. Additionally, the Center for Disease Control compares BMI levels among socioeconomic groups.
The 2009-2010 WIN findings are stratified by age group, sex and race. These findings also consider those who exercise and those who do not. The CDC findings measure age, race, sex, activity level and the income level of those studied. The WIN findings suggest that approximately 78.8 percent of Hispanic adults are overweight compared to 76.7 percent of African American adults and 66.7 percent of Caucasian adults. As of 2015, BMI charts consider those having above a 25 BMI to be overweight.
