Dana Michelle Plato was born Nov. 7, 1964. She is best known for her role as Kimberly Drummond on the hit show, “Diff’rent Strokes.”

In 1984, Dana Plato was released from her role on “Diff’rent Strokes” when she became pregnant. Her acting career floundered after she was let go. In 1989, she tried to resurrect her fading career by posing for an adult magazine, but the photo spread did not amount to any sustainable work. Dana Plato died of a suicidal drug overdose on May 8, 1999.
