Where can DNA be found?
By Forinfos - 23/03/2025 - 0 comments
The majority of DNA is located in the cell nucleus, where it is called nuclear DNA. A small amount is located in the mitochondria, where it is called mitochondrial DNA.
DNA, which stands for deoxyribonucleic acid, is hereditary material found in humans and almost all other organisms. Almost every cell in a human’s body has the same DNA, and DNA has the ability to replicate. The information in DNA is stored as a code made up of four chemical bases. The four chemical bases are adenine, guanine, cytosine and thymine. Each of the four bases is attached to a sugar molecule and phosphate molecule.
