Can dogs eat raw carrots?

According to WebMD, raw carrots make excellent snacks for dogs. Dogs can also eat green beans, cucumbers, zucchini slices and cooked potatoes, but they should never be given raw potatoes, onions or garlic.

Dogs thrive best on a well-balanced dog food that contains all of their necessary vitamins and minerals. It is permissible, however, to add small amounts of table foods. Thoroughly cooked lean meats without bones, slices of watermelon, apples, oranges and bananas all make excellent snack choices. If a dog has had a recent stomach virus or upset stomach, cooked pasta or rice mixed with small amounts of cooked chicken may help settle the stomach.
