Can you donate water bottle caps to charity?

As of March 2015, the charity Caps Of Love, a non-profit organization that benefits the disabled, accepts donations of plastic water bottle caps. The plastic is a different grade than is used in bottles, and the caps are valuable in bulk.

Caps Of Love sells the caps it collects to recyclers and uses the proceeds to purchase wheelchairs for disabled children and to train service dogs for the needy. The organization accepts donations of all types of plastic caps.

The charity is based in Royal Palm Beach, Florida and has weekly drop-offs. Different charities in other locations have sometimes done one-time bottle cap collections to raise money.
