Endocrinologist doctors can choose to work overseas. In general, all doctors can work abroad, as long as they keep the license issued by their country of origin current and valid and register with the designated body in the target country of practice, as of March 2015.

For example, doctors who wish to practice in the United Kingdom need to register themselves with General Medical Council. However, most of the countries that are hiring doctors from overseas have preferences about the location where the doctors are being trained; clients from China prefer doctors who are trained in the United States, UK and Canada.
