Can you be exempt from paying tolls on the Florida Turnpike?

Several types of vehicles qualify for exemption from paying tolls on the Florida Turnpike. These include buses, car pool vehicles, motorcycles, emergency vehicles and hybrid vehicles. All vehicles except motorcycles and emergency vehicles have to register with South Florida Commuter Services in order to qualify for an exemption.

Individuals who drive qualifying vehicles can apply for a decal that allows them to be exempt from tolls through the South Florida Commuter Service. The decal is displayed on the windshield of the vehicle. Decals cost a small annual or biannual fee, as well as an additional fee for mailing and processing.
