Can you file consumer complaints online?

People can file online consumer complaints through USA.gov, as of 2015. Click Services on the main menu and select Consumer Complaints from the drop-down menu to access agencies such as the Federal Trade Commission and links to consumer protections agencies in all 50 states.
The FTC provides an online complaint assistant that guides consumers through categories and questions, and requests a brief description of the issue. The process includes a live chat option from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. EST for consumers who need help with categorizing the details. US.gov provides a directory of all 50 states and the District of Columbia, giving consumers additional online filing options.
