The Better Business Bureau allows consumers to file complaints about business products or services. Various federal and state government entities also accept complaints about business practices and fraud.
The Better Business Bureau accepts complaints that are exclusively about products and services. The complaint is forwarded to the business, who has two weeks to respond. Complaints can be filed online.
Some federal organizations that accept consumer complaints include the Federal Trade Commission, econsumer.gov, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Each state also has their own consumer protection offices, and certain complaints can also be directed to the state Attorney General's office.
