According to Still Tasty, pâté is safe to freeze. Pâté can be frozen for up to two months when stored in an airtight container. Pâté can also be placed in heavy-duty freezer bags or wrapped in heavy-duty aluminum foil in preparation for storage in the freezer.
Pâté can also be stored in the refrigerator. Typically, when stored in the refrigerator it lasts one to two days. Pâté stored in the refrigerator should be tightly wrapped in aluminum foil or plastic wrap. It should not be left out for longer than 2 hours at room temperature; discard pâté left out for longer.
