Where can you generally find a refrigerator model number?

A refrigerator's model number is generally found on a paper sticker or metal plate attached to the appliance called the number tag. Depending on the make and model of the refrigerator, the number tag is located either inside the appliance or at the very bottom underneath the kick plate.

There are generally four locations on a refrigerator where the number tag is found. These include on the cabinet door jamb, on the right or left side of the inside wall of the refrigerator or freezer compartment, behind one of the lower crisper drawers or behind the kick plate. The model number is generally identified on the number tag and made up of either all numbers or a combination of letters and numbers.
