How do you find the model number of a GE refrigerator?

Find the model number of a GE refrigerator on its rating plate. Each refrigerator includes one, but its location varies depending on the appliance model.

On a bottom freezer model, find the rating plate on the inside right or left wall of the freezer. Also look inside the refrigerator's fresh food section, on the top left or right wall. Side by side models contain a rating plate on the top right or left of the fresh food section. If not there, check the top inside of the refrigerator. On a top freezer model, look on the inside top of the freezer or the bottom front edge of the refrigerator. It can also be hidden behind the crisper drawers sometimes or posted beside the temperature controls.
