The U.S. Courts, Nolo, the New York State Unified Court System and FindLaw all offer online glossaries of terminology used in legal documents, court cases and other legal transactions, according to their websites. The glossaries organize terms alphabetically.

The U.S. Courts glossary is organized alphabetically in list form, with terms and definitions displayed together, as seen on the official website. It includes both Latin and English terms and provides translations for Latin terms.

The New York court system's general legal glossary, searchable by letter, also displays an alphabetical list of terms with visible definitions, according to NYCourts.gov. The website features a separate glossary of divorce terms.

The FindLaw Legal Dictionary contains more than 8,200 terms, the site states. It allows users to browse by alphabet and to search individual terms.

Nolo’s Free Dictionary of Law Terms contains plain-language legal definitions, browseable by alphabet, the site states. It shows terms in list form with a link leading to each definition.
