Can you grill frozen steaks?

Frozen steaks can be grilled straight from the freezer without being thawed first. They take a bit longer to cook, but have been found to cook more evenly and retain more moisture than thawed steaks.

An important part of grilling frozen steaks is to freeze them properly. Storing them in the freezer in only a bag can cause ice to form on the steaks. The best way to freeze them is to put them in the freezer on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. When the steaks are fully frozen, simply wrap them in plastic wrap and place them in a plastic bag to store in the freezer.
