J-B Weld bonds aluminum to aluminum and to other types of surfaces. There are several varieties of J-B Weld available but J-B MarineWeld is specifically designed for aluminum repair and bonding.
J-B MarineWeld is an epoxy welding system activated by mixing equal parts of two substances, both provided in each J-B MarineWeld kit. Once mixed, it sets within 20 to 25 minutes and is fully cured within 15 to 24 hours. Once cured, J-B MarineWeld can be filed, drilled and sanded and can withstand 3,960 pounds per square inch of tensile pull. J-B Weld can withstand temperatures as high as 500 degrees Fahrenheit and as low as -67 degrees Fahrenheit. J-B Weld is non-toxic and microwave safe.
