The online Encyclopedia of Chicago has a list of all mayors of the city of Chicago, Illinois, from the city's incorporation in 1837 until 2007. The city of Chicago's official website lists the current mayor. Chicago has had 55 mayors as of 2015.

The first mayor of Chicago was William Butler Ogden, serving in office from 1837 to 1838. The longest-serving mayors were Richard J. Daley, who was in office for 21 years, from 1955 until his death in 1976, and his son Richard M. Daley, who presided over the city from 1989 to 2011. Rahm Emanuel was then elected in 2011.
