Where can you locate printable IRS forms and publications?

Taxpayers can find printable forms from the Internal Revenue Service on its website, IRS.gov, under the Forms & Pubs tab on the home page, as of 2015, notes the IRS. The forms available include all tax forms, instructions and publications from the current year and all previous tax years back to 1864.

The tax forms available are delivered in PDF format, according to the IRS. To find a publication, a taxpayer clicks the Forms & Pubs tab to open the Forms & Publication page. A listing of common forms pulls up, or taxpayers can click on the Search tab to look for forms not listed. Clicking on the Prior Year tab brings up forms and publications from the previous tax year.
