Where can you look up the NCPDP number for a drug?

The National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP) does not assign numbers to drugs, as of 2015. Those who wish to look up a National Drug Code (NDC) can search for it on the United States Food and Drug Association's (FDA's) website, FDA.gov.

To look up the NDC for a particular drug, user need to go to the FDA website and then click on "Drug databases," and then "NDC." They can then select the type of search using the drop-down menu. Options include active ingredient, NDC number, proprietary name, application number and labeler. By entering information about the drug in the text box and clicking on "search," they can view the available information, including its NDC number.
