How can you make an anti-static spray?

Combining a small amount of liquid fabric softener with water in a spray bottle is a simple way to make anti-static spray. This homemade concoction is not suitable for silk or fabrics that are marked "dry clean only."

It only takes a couple steps to create an anti-static spray.

Step 1: Mix fabric softener with water

For each cup of water, 2 tablespoons of liquid fabric softener should be added. Individuals sensitive to smells should opt for unscented fabric softener.

Step 2: Blend the mixture

Shaking the spray bottle vigorously combines the water and fabric softener. The bottle needs to be shaken again directly before it is used.

When using, a couple of sprays is sufficient as a light coating successfully prevents static.
