Can pandas swim?

According to the World Wildlife Fund, pandas have several natural survival skills, including the ability to swim. Pandas are typically peaceful and solitary creatures; if attacked, they generally try to escape. However, if they cannot escape, they defend themselves.

Because a panda primarily feeds on bamboo, their jaw muscles and large molar teeth become well developed. As a result, a panda's bite can be very dangerous. Pandas also start climbing trees at a young age, which results in them becoming very good climbers when they reach adulthood. Furthermore, pandas are unlike other bears; they do not sleep for long periods of time while in hibernation.
