Can you pay your toll online?

Many tollway authorities accept online payments, both to set up ongoing payments and to pay for violations. The North Texas Tollway Authority and the E-ZPass network in the Northeast allow both forms of online payment.

Setting up an online account with a tollway authority includes registering a vehicle by its license plate number and entering the registrant's contact information and driver's license number. Putting a credit card number on file lets the authority charge more when the account falls below a particular level. As of 2015, for example, the North Texas Tollway Authority charges the card $40 every time the account falls below $10. Violations are payable online via a credit card using the invoice number on the violation notice.
