When can a person take their puppy out for a walk?

A puppy can be taken out for a walk, once they have been fully immunized against common diseases through vaccinations. Most puppies are fully vaccinated, once they are 12 to 16 weeks old.
A puppy's immunization schedule depends on when the owner brings the puppy in for its first round of vaccinations. Most veterinarians administer the first vaccination when puppies are between 6 to 8 weeks old. Then puppies will need to come in every three weeks for two weeks for the next round of vaccinations. At 16 weeks the final vaccination, the rabies vaccination, is given and then all vaccinations will have been given.
