When do puppies start walking?

Puppies usually stand up when they are around 15 days old and take their first steps by the age of 3 weeks. The first two weeks of a puppy's life are mostly spent sleeping, with puppies sleeping 90 percent of the day.
At around 3 weeks of age, puppies begin to develop some independence. They begin to play with other puppies in the litter and may take a taste of the food in their mother's bowl. Their teeth begin to come in between their fifth and sixth weeks of life, paving the way for weaning. Puppies at this age can also begin to control their bathroom urges and can begin housetraining.
