Do wolf puppies eat as much as dog puppies?

Wolf puppies eat more than dog puppies. Wolf puppies eat 2 to 3 pounds a day, while dog puppies eat less than 1 pound. Both animals should eat three meals a day.

When an individual takes in a wolf puppy as a pet, he should keep the pup on a diet close to what the wolf would eat in the wild. The diet should include the raw meat of deer, elk, moose, bison and other wildlife with the bone in. If the owner decides to feed his pup dog food, the wolf would then have to remain on that diet. Suddenly changing a wolf's diet can harm the animal.
