What can you put in the dryer to keep the clothes from wrinkling?

There are a number of products that, when placed in the dryer, help prevent clothes from tangling, which is the major cause of wrinkles. According to ApartmentTherapy.com, tennis balls keep clothes from intertwining while allowing air to circulate.

ApartmentTherapy.com also recommends placing a damp washcloth or towel in the dryer with clothing about 10 minutes prior to the end of the drying cycle to prevent wrinkles.

While many people use fabric softening dryer sheets to prevent static cling and wrinkles in their laundry, others object to the chemicals in such products. Women's Voices for the Earth urges the use of nontoxic alternatives such as wool balls made for adding to the dryer.
